back left pocket

adventures — Levi on September 27, 2007 at 5:27 am

Different people have different things in their pockets. Today, let us explore my back left, in what I call, Little Book.

Welcome…

a_page.jpg
Little Book is a wonderful place. Keeping track of hourly espresso intake while at work? Poor attempts at poetry? Work schedules? To-do’s? All of them live harmoniously here…

archi.jpg
it is a place where immediacy trumps spelling & grammar…

dont_be_sad.jpg
where momentarily relevant Daniel Johnston excerpts are celebrated and scrawled frequently…

are_you_divorced.jpg
eves-dropping is acceptable here, particularly when the humorous parts are documented…

kurt_v.jpg
and Kurt Vonnegut excerpts are okay, especially when written after previously mentioned bad poetry.

Every good thing has an end, Little Book is no different.

Next week: Front Right. Oh, the anticipation.

From Brunswick to Bushwick

adventures — Levi on August 9, 2007 at 4:20 pm

After some last minute packing and a six hour commute, Brittany & I arrived in New York via Fung Wah on Tuesday morning to sign our apartment lease. Unfortunately, Bushwick has gone unexplored thus far since i’m taking care of my schedule & trying as much to stay out of the swealtering heat, but I look forward to getting to know the neighborhood better. Anyhow, more to come once I have a computer at the apartment.

Meet Kate B. She has the green.

Green will get you a bucket of balls…

and cheap cigars.

When combined, it looks something like this..

006.jpg

..or this. Epic. Now to the golfing.

007.jpg

Golfing isn’t as easy as it looks..

008.jpg

Smoking cigars, on the other hand, is.

011.jpg

Stretching is very important. Looking like a pirate is too.

012.jpg

Kate doesn’t need to stretch and she’s got the guns to prove it.

009.jpg

Kate photographing at intense angles…

010.jpg

..Kate creating intense angles. Storms a brewin’.

013.jpg

I manage to get hurt playing golf, its the fingernails.

014.jpg

As it starts to rain, I take a moment to admire our companions.

015.jpg

We left just in time to nourish a hunger for cheap fried food.

016.jpg

Some of our fellow fried food connoisseurs.

017.jpg

A delicious end to a delicious day, wouldn’t you say, Kate?

Kate says, “Yes.” Goodbye!
