back left pocket

Different people have different things in their pockets. Today, let us explore my back left, in what I call, Little Book.

Welcome…

Little Book is a wonderful place. Keeping track of hourly espresso intake while at work? Poor attempts at poetry? Work schedules? To-do’s? All of them live harmoniously here…

archi.jpg
it is a place where immediacy trumps spelling & grammar…

dont_be_sad.jpg
where momentarily relevant Daniel Johnston excerpts are celebrated and scrawled frequently…

are_you_divorced.jpg
eves-dropping is acceptable here, particularly when the humorous parts are documented…

kurt_v.jpg
and Kurt Vonnegut excerpts are okay, especially when written after previously mentioned bad poetry.

Every good thing has an end, Little Book is no different.

Next week: Front Right. Oh, the anticipation.

  1. I always right down ideas for photos too, but never end up re-reading them.

  2. I usually write in my ‘little book’ on the subway going home (commuter rail) when I remember that I am a poet.
Great that you do this. I have missed dozens of ideas over the years. Get ‘em down!
